A. Information about the collection of personal data
(1) Below, we provide information about the collection of personal data when using our website and our online services. Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behaviour.

(3) When you contact us by email or via a contact form, we store the data you provide (your email address, your name and telephone number, if applicable) in order to answer your questions. We delete the data collected in this context once it is no longer necessary to store it, or restrict its processing if there are legal retention obligations.
(4) If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offer or would like to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes below. We will also specify the criteria for the storage period.
(5) We use the following categories of recipients/processors in connection with the processing described in this privacy policy:
- Hosting provider: All data is hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud, with data centers located within the European Union. We do not engage any further external service providers or processors.
(6) All personal data described in this privacy policy is processed and stored exclusively within the European Economic Area (EEA). We do not transfer personal data to recipients outside the EEA.

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

C. Collection of personal data when visiting our website
(1) When using the website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR):

- time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT),

- amount of data transferred in each case,

(2) In addition to the above-mentioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet offering more user-friendly and effective overall.

b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. D. Matomo
We use the web analytics tool “Matomo” to tailor our websites to your needs. Matomo creates usage profiles based on pseudonyms. To do this, persistent cookies are stored on your device and read by us. This allows us to recognize and count returning visitors. Matomo is self-hosted by us on Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure located in the European Union; no data is transferred to Matomo or any third party.
Data processing is based on your consent in accordance with Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, provided that you have given your consent via our cookie banner. You may revoke your consent at any time.

E. Use of online services with registration (User account)
(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that require registration and the creation of a corresponding user account. To create a user account, you must enter certain personal data, in particular your email address and user name, as well as other information about yourself (e.g. name and address), if applicable. In this context, only those data that we absolutely require for the performance of our services or any contractual relationship with you are designated as mandatory and marked accordingly. In addition, we collect further personal data (e.g. IP address) in connection with the creation of the user account or the provision of services, insofar as this is necessary for the provision of services, including the prevention of misuse, or we are legally obliged to do so.

(3) We store the data collected in connection with your user account for as long as your user account exists, i.e. until you delete your account. You can request the deletion of your user account at any time by contacting us at bernhard.heitz(at)dormakaba.com. Upon such a request, we will delete the data collected in connection with the user account or the provision of services, unless the data is required for other purposes (e.g. statutory retention obligations) or restrict the processing accordingly. Otherwise, we will delete the data or restrict processing accordingly as soon as storage is no longer necessary for the aforementioned purposes.
(4) You may object to data processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (‘legitimate interests’) at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. In the event of an objection, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
F. Automated decision-making information absent
No automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, including profiling, takes place.
